北加州汉服社

北加州汉服社（Northern California Hanfu Association）是一家非营利组织，我们身着华美汉服，致力于传承和弘扬中华传统服饰、艺术与文化。

北加州汉服社成立于2017年，现有成员1000多人，主要活跃于旧金山湾区及周边的加州州府萨克拉门托地区、蒙特利湾区等地。成员们多为在硅谷工作的高科技人士，以及在北加州地区求学的留学生，在自己的本专业之外，大家都热爱汉服以及民族音乐、古典舞、书法、曲艺、传统工艺、武术等传统中国文化。汉服让我们开启了斜杠人生，结识了更多志趣相投的伙伴们，一起表达与传承我们的文化身份。

从成立迄今，北加州汉服社组织了各种茶会、雅集、汉服主题外拍等活动。平时我们会不定期在学校、图书馆、街会、企业活动等场合，为湾区民众带来传统音乐、舞蹈、武术、汉服走秀等现场表演。每年，我们都会在Filoli花园的花朝节献上表演，在十一月汉服出行日齐聚街头纪念汉服复兴运动，并参加旧金山春节的花车游行。2025年，我们撰写并发布了第一本英文汉服书《HANFU》并在旧金山总图书馆举办新书发布会。我们的各种活动获得了世界日报、新华社、凤凰卫视、中新社、侨报以及国内汉服自媒体的报道。

我们的使命是通过传承与分享在美华人的传统文化与服饰，促进中美文化交流与相互欣赏。我们期待将中华历史与文化的故事分享给更广泛的受众。未来，北加州汉服社希望能携手各地姊妹社团一起举办更多更有影响力的汉服活动，在美洲大地上播撒下华夏文明的种子。

THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA HANFU ASSOCIATION

A non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and celebrating historical Chinese fashion, arts, and culture while beautifully dressed in hanfu. Hanfu is the traditional clothing of the Han people, the largest ethnic group in China. 

Founded in 2017, the Northern California Hanfu Association comprises of over 1000 active members of diverse backgrounds from around the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as the surrounding regions including Sacramento and the Monterey Bay Area. Our members share a passion for Hanfu as well as for traditional Chinese culture, including music, dance, calligraphy, folk arts, traditional crafts, and martial arts. Hanfu has opened up a multi-faceted life for us, allowing us to express and preserve our cultural identity and connect with like-minded friends.

Since its establishment, the Northern California Hanfu Association has organized various tea ceremonies, cultural salons, and Hanfu-themed photoshoots. Throughout the year, we do live performances of traditional music, dance, martial arts, and fashion shows at schools, libraries, street festivals, and corporate events. Annually, we celebrate the flower festival with performances at Filoli gardens, gather on the streets in hanfu to commemorate the hanfu revival movement every November, and participate in the San Francisco Chinese New Year parade. In 2025, we published Hanfu, the first English-language book that offers a systematic introduction to Hanfu culture, and held the book launch event at the San Francisco Main Library. Our various events have garnered coverage from media outlets such as World Journal, China News, Pheonix TV, Xinhua, China Press, and Hanfu-focused media in China. 

Our mission is to promote Chinese-American cultural exchange and appreciation through the celebration and sharing of traditional Chinese-American culture and clothing. We are excited to share the many stories of Chinese history and culture to a broader audience. In the future, the Northern California Hanfu Association hopes to collaborate with sister organizations from various regions to organize more impactful Hanfu events, planting the seeds of Chinese civilization across the American continent.
